Lareau & Lareau CPAs began in the early months of 1981 — in the middle of a deep recession — when two veterans, Robert Lareau and Steve Lareau, found themselves unemployed and decided to start something of their own.
The early days happened over coffee at Granny's Donuts in Apopka. There was no office, no client list, no marketing plan. Just two brothers, a shared belief in hard work, and a willingness to show up for the local nursery owners, farmers, and small business families who needed a steady hand with their finances.
One relationship led to another. Word spread through the Central Florida nursery industry, through neighbors, through families who trusted them — and slowly, the firm grew into a respected practice that has served Apopka and the surrounding communities for more than forty years.
